Money has borders. Your finances shouldn't feel them.

One ledger for a life lived across currencies.

Your CAD paycheque, the rent and remittances you send to India, your USD side income — tracked honestly in one place, with the exchange rates, cross-border transfers, and capital flows handled the way they actually happen. Import a screenshot, a statement, or a file — anywhere in the world. Automatic bank sync where Orbiq reaches it: Canada and the US on Connect.

Built for the cross-border life

Four things only Orbiq does for you

The wedge, up front. The full feature set lives on the features page → — here are the capabilities that decide whether Orbiq is built for you.

Currency engine

Every currency you live in, one honest ledger

See your whole financial life in a single view, with the exchange rate captured at the moment each transaction happened — not a blurry today's-rate guess. Flip the Currency Lens to read everything in your home currency, the original, or any currency you choose.

15 currencies today — CAD, USD, INR, GBP, EUR, AUD, NZD, BRL, SGD, HKD, CHF, SEK, NOK, DKK, PLN — and this is just the beginning. We're adding more, so the currencies you live in will be here too.

Import anywhere

No bank connection? Import a screenshot.

Snap your banking app, drop in a PDF statement, CSV, XLSX or an OFX export — and Orbiq reads it, including the Indian transaction codes (TDS, WTax, SIP, dividends) other tools choke on. You can run Orbiq fully on an Indian bank no aggregator supports — first transactions in under a minute.

This is the Day-1 "aha": no aggregator gate, whatever bank and country you are with. Password-protected PDFs unlock on your device — the password never leaves your browser.

Ask Orbiq

Talk to your money in plain language

Ask in your own words and get a grounded, currency-aware answer in seconds. Multi-turn — ask a follow-up and it remembers what "that" meant. It runs the numbers on your own data and narrates only the result. Two tones: Classic for straight answers, Roast for when your latte habit needs humbling.

It's also where the cross-border tax helpers live — the summaries other budgeting apps have no concept of.

Privacy: the model narrates name-free, class-level aggregates computed on your data. It never authors queries against your raw rows, and raw transactions never leave the box.

Roast my spending
Rent: $11,890 CAD (42.5%) — "home sweet home" is now "home sweet mortgage-like rent".
Shopping: $1,798 — retail therapy is clearly a full-time job.
Subscriptions: $1,130 — Netflix, Spotify, and who knows what else "just in case".
A third of every dollar goes to fun and fluff — keep it up, and future you will be very well-entertained.

Remittances, not mystery expenses

Orbiq knows when money leaves the country. "I sent ₹80,000 home" shows up as a remittance — flagged automatically by a waterfall of merchant, currency-mismatch, and pattern checks, with transfer legs paired so nothing double-counts.

The international transfers other apps file as random expenses, Orbiq names for what they actually are.

How Orbiq stacks up

Five seconds to see whether your need is structurally unmet by the big zero-based budgeter or the indie tracker. The rows where they beat us are left in. Sourced write-ups: vs YNAB, vs Lunch Money.

Yes ⚠️ Partial / weaker No Not scored The two sync rows are where they beat us. Native one-bill sync is Canada and the US only, on Connect. Everywhere else, automatic sync means opening your own LunchFlow account — a separate service, on its own bill and its own trial clock, that you manage yourself. What works in every country with no aggregator and no third party is file import: screenshot, PDF, XLSX, CSV, OFX. The rows above the sync rows are the structural advantage.
Security & privacy

Privacy by requirement, not afterthought

Concrete, verifiable claims only — each one traceable to a shipped mechanism. The documents behind them are published in full: processing record, data classification, AI impact assessment, vendor reviews.

  • No bank aggregator in the loop. By default your data goes straight from your device to your dashboard.
  • Bank linking is read-only. Orbiq Connect links through a regulated provider — your credentials never touch Orbiq.
  • Only merchant structure leaves the box. Never raw rows — and the external LLM works under a no-store / no-train contract.
  • OCR runs on Orbiq's own servers. Nothing is shipped out for heavy processing, and audit logs are PII-redacted.
  • No password to steal. Sign in with Google or Apple; data is encrypted at rest.
  • No data sold, ever. No ads. You own your data — download a full backup yourself any time (email-verified), restore from it, or request erasure.

Questions

The honest answers

My Indian bank isn't on Plaid — can I still use Orbiq?
Yes — from Day 1, by import. Orbiq reads Indian transaction codes (TDS, WTax, SIP, dividends) directly. No aggregator required.
Does my raw bank data go to an AI?
No. Only merchant structure leaves the box; Ask Orbiq narrates name-free aggregates, never your raw rows. OCR runs on Orbiq's own servers.
I'm switching from another budgeting app — do I lose my history?
No. Drop in your export and Orbiq rebuilds accounts, categories, tags and transfers in one step — legs paired so nothing double-counts, per-row currencies FX-converted.
What currencies are supported?
15 today: CAD, USD, INR, GBP, EUR, AUD, NZD, BRL, SGD, HKD, CHF, SEK, NOK, DKK, PLN — each with a rate from its own transaction date. The set is admin-expandable.
Which countries get automatic bank sync?
Only Canada and the US — and only on Orbiq Connect, which syncs them through Plaid on a single Orbiq bill. That is the whole of Orbiq's native coverage; there is no country list beyond it. Anywhere else, automatic sync is a bring-your-own-key arrangement: you open an account with LunchFlow — a separate company that bills you directly, from USD $5/mo, on its own trial clock — connect your banks there, and paste your key into Orbiq Core. Orbiq adds no charge, but you are managing two subscriptions and one third-party relationship. LunchFlow's network reaches 25,000+ institutions in 40+ countries (UK, EU, New Zealand, Brazil, Singapore, Hong Kong and more). What works everywhere with no aggregator and nobody else in the loop is import: screenshot, PDF, XLSX, CSV, OFX, in all 15 currencies. See the LunchFlow setup guide →
