Built to last
The fair question about a small product is whether it will still be here next year. These are the facts that answer it, with the numbers behind them.
Who runs it
- A Canadian corporation: FINARO CAPITAL SERVICES INC., Toronto, Ontario.
- No venture capital, so no fund clock. Nobody can force a sale, a pivot or a "growth" price rise to hit a return on someone else's schedule.
- Revenue-funded. Subscriptions pay for Orbiq. There are no ads, and your data is never sold.
- Scale-to-zero infrastructure. The app sleeps when nobody is using it and the website is static, so the bill follows use instead of a fixed fleet of servers.
What it costs to run
Running Orbiq costs about CAD 234 a month (CAD 234.39 as of October 2026). About 33 subscribers on the standard Core plan cover it.
What each subscriber leaves after the costs they bring with them: the AI model, bank sync, payment fees, currency conversion and churn. App Store and Google Play take a larger cut than the web, so the same plan covers less there.
| Plan | Left per subscriber, web | App store | Subscribers to cover the bill, web | App store |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Core CAD $9/month | 7.21 | 6.42 | 33 | 37 |
| Connect CAD $15/month | 11.28 | 9.76 | 21 | 25 |
| Founding Core CAD $5/month | 3.40 | 3.10 | 69 | 76 |
| Founding Connect CAD $8/month | 4.62 | 3.95 | 51 | 60 |
In CAD per month, worked out at October 8, 2026 prices and costs. A full founding cohort (50 seats at CAD $5) leaves about CAD 170 a month on the web: not enough on its own, so break-even depends on members at the standard price from seat 51. We update this page when a price or a cost changes.
If it ever stops
90 days' notice by email, no new charges from that day, unused annual months refunded, and exports that keep working for six months after the last day. The full pledge, including what Apple controls and we do not: If Orbiq shuts down.
