How it’s built
AI-assisted, engineer-owned. Code is written with AI tools; every change is reviewed, tested and shipped by the engineer who answers for it.

Tests and gates
- 4,058 backend and 110 frontend tests passed on the run this page records. A run with a single failure publishes nothing.
- Pre-commit gates refuse a commit that adds a database file, a native date input on the web, or an off-system colour on the phones.
- Every public claim is audited. A CI job fails any marketing sentence that states a capability without the qualifier that makes it true, on every change to the site.
- Import is tested against real bank layouts. Every bank Orbiq lists as verified has a synthetic statement in its own export format that must import cleanly on every build.
Your data
- Stored in Canada. The primary database runs in a Canadian region.
- Encrypted in transit and at rest, and bank-sync access tokens are encrypted again with a key of their own.
- Logs carry no raw personal data. Email addresses and IP addresses are redacted before a log line is written.
- A sanitizer sits before every call to an AI model. Categorizing sends merchant structure, never a raw transaction row; the assistant sends your question and totals computed on your data, to a provider under a no-store, no-train contract.
- Every schema change is a versioned migration, applied in order, so the database is always in a known state.
- You can take everything with you, any time, in a documented format: Your data is yours.
What we do not claim
Orbiq has not had a paid penetration test or an independent audit, and does not say it has. Its governance documents are published in full instead: Trust & governance. Who runs Orbiq and what it costs: Built to last.
