Backup, plan and settings
Back up and restore your data, choose a plan, find every setting, lock the phone apps, and close your account.
Backup and restore#
Download a full backup of your account yourself, any time, and restore from it.
- Open Backup in the sidebar.
- Export your data. Orbiq emails you a one-time code first, so only you can move your data.
- Keep the file somewhere safe, ideally in two places.
The backup holds your transactions, accounts, categories, budgets, rules and settings. Receipt details come along; the receipt files do not.
Restore replaces what is in your account now. Export a fresh backup first if you might want today's state back. Restoring asks for an emailed code too.
Plan and subscription#
Both plans run the same engine. The only difference is how transactions arrive.

Settings#
Settings has a search box (/ on the web). The ones people look for:

iPhone & Android App lock. Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint or your screen lock when Orbiq opens, and again after a time you pick. Siri, Spotlight and Android's shortcuts respect it, and the app switcher can show Orbiq's logo instead of your last screen.
Reset data#
Settings → Advanced resets what you choose: transactions, budgets, categories, rules, or everything. You confirm with an emailed code, and the reset runs about 24 hours later; cancel any time before then. Once it runs it cannot be undone, so export a backup first.
Close your account#
Close it yourself: Settings → Advanced on the web, or Settings → About & legal → Delete account & data in the apps. You confirm with an emailed code, and you have 5 business days to change your mind. Then everything is erased. How deletion works.
